The Canterbury Medical Research Foundation was founded in 1960 and has funded more than 32m in health research over the last 62 years.
Since its inception by a group of medical and business professionals, led by the late Professor Don Beaven, the Foundation has independently funded significant medical research projects, helping to save and improve the lives and health of many Cantabrians and New Zealanders.
This makes us the largest charitable investor in medical research across the South Island of New Zealand.
