Dear friends,

We are once again finding ourselves operating as part of the team of 5 million, fighting another outbreak of Covid-19 within the New Zealand community.

Unlike last year, when we all suddenly had to operate in an entirely changed environment, we are now familiar with what needs to happen to keep ourselves and each other as safe as possible.

This is largely thanks to the invaluable input of a number of highly capable and respected scientific advisors and medical professionals, and we are proud to be able to continue supporting the Canterbury health research community in turn.

The CMRF staff are safely set up to work from home, and available to our supporters, stakeholders and partners – it is business as usual for our small team, and we are only a Zoom or phone call away.

Our grants programme, supporting quality health research projects within Canterbury, remains unchanged and we are actively accepting applications in line with each grant’s individual deadlines as usual.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have – we wish you and your families well during this time of uncertainty and change.

Stay safe and well,

Melissa Haberfield
Foundation Director
